This French press broke in less than 2 weeks (used less than 7 times). He just exploded standing in the kitchen. I made and drank coffee, poured myself a cup and went into the living room to sit and listen to the morning news. I heard a small glass explosion in the kitchen and ran back, thinking maybe something had fallen on the tile floor and exploded because that's what it sounded like. After searching, I saw some broken glass on the counter and saw that the side had just detached from the outer layer of glass. I have attached an image for reference. I've been cautious since I started using it as there are numerous warnings in the instruction manual saying 'handle glassware with extreme care', 'be careful when handling chipped or broken pieces of glass' and 'please observe the local disposal regulations". This is despite the fact that it's reportedly made from heat-resistant glass, which is rated for a 120-degree Celsius (245-degree Fahrenheit) temperature drop. The water temperature I used was 190 degrees Fahrenheit, so I didn't exaggerate the manufacturer's claims. This is a really great ab and I may have just received a bad block but it seems unreliable and broke in less than 7 uses. In my opinion it's definitely not worth 90€.
