It's just a French Press

It's just a French Press. No more and no less. I bought it to use as an example for my courses as cost does not equal better or higher quality.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Somewhat wrinkled

Ideal for 1 long or 2 regular coffees

Ideal for 1 long or 2 regular coffees. Looks great with my Chemex-Pour and is about the same outside size as a 6 cup kettle. Easy to clean, attractive and perfect for my mini coffee bar.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not bad

The best press for coffee (and tea)!

This is a work of art. Makes the experience of drinking tea and coffee more enjoyable. Highly recommended. I'm not sure why all these reviews are saying it breaks. This is normal and works great. Maybe these people used it in a frosty house and then doused it with boiling water to break it open. I'm not sure but it works fine for us. Enjoy upgraded drinks. And one more thing, this design makes cleaning easier as tea and coffee won't get stuck in the strainer.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Not bad overall but...

I really like this coffee press. Appearance, structure and components are fine. This is a very fragile coffee press and must be treated accordingly. Take your time to make a drink and clean the coffee maker. A few days ago, I happened to see the same coffee press on the Tastemade Food program, brewing Icelandic coffee on it. What a treat. In addition, this coffee maker was made in Japan and is a beautiful piece of functional art.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Fits

Glass explosion: French press

This French press broke in less than 2 weeks (used less than 7 times). He just exploded standing in the kitchen. I made and drank coffee, poured myself a cup and went into the living room to sit and listen to the morning news. I heard a small glass explosion in the kitchen and ran back, thinking maybe something had fallen on the tile floor and exploded because that's what it sounded like. After searching, I saw some broken glass on the counter and saw that the side had just detached from the…

  • Positive only

  • Newer model could have been chosen

The best coffee press, period!

When I researched the different coffee presses, the reviews for Bodum were on average the best, so I was almost sure that I would get Bodum. However, I came across the Hario Coffee Press, which initially intrigued me. When I read the only press review (two stars) I turned my back on it. After 3 days of pondering what the best abs would be (and there are many), I decided to dice with Hario and buy the 17 oz. Bodum Press. The reason I decided to try the Hario Press is because the design feels…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
