This is the best doorstop I could find to keep my bathroom door from banging against the new shower glass we installed. Note that the maximum angle is about 100 degrees. So if the door needs to open 180 degrees (e.g. open fully against a wall) it won't work at all. This still puts some pressure on the hinge, but not as much as other door pins. I highly recommend putting one on each hinge and at least two per door, even on hollow doors. However, you need to pay attention to how hard you push the door when you open it, and pay attention to the screws on the hinges.
