very simple replacement for a 120v socket facing vertically downwards (this will not work in a sloping socket as the lamp fins touch the ceiling. It can work in a horizontal socket. There are 2 parts : Light and its connection pillar.The top of the connection pillar screws into the bulb socket and the bottom of the pillar into the new bracket.Remember, NEVER plug a LED lightbulb into a live socket, make sure that Your light switch is turned off before you insert a light or an LED. This light is incredibly bright! I only wish the connecting column was 2" longer to match my existing ceiling "jerry can" mounts ( which isn't the case.) I would buy a dozen more if the link column was up to 2 inches longer.
