Have you ever seen a fat man who likes 21-pound full-suspension mountain bikes or 11-pound road bikes and has titanium bolts in an aluminum or carbon frame? to save 30 grams? on the total weight of the bike? Or, even worse, installing a titanium bolt in a titanium frame? (not recommended even with anti-seize paste) I've seen and sadly seen the damage done when someone tries to force out the same seized titanium nut or bolt a year later, which then has to be drilled out, or in some cases even can ruin frame. This is where the anti-seize compound comes to the rescue. And the Park Tools compound is just as good, if not better, than any generic compound you buy at the dealership. I have no idea what the exact ingredients are in this Park Tools grease, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's partially molybdenum-50 with some zinc added for better protection against aluminum and titanium. (which also works just as well with carbon fiber). Anyway, this lube works well. Very nice to have bottom brackets on my titanium hardtail and bolt hardware. I have used this lube on quite a few repairs over the past 15 years and it has saved my butt from abrasion, corrosion and seized components on more than one occasion. That's five stars in my book!
