Overall I like this bubble filter and would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the channel attachment area at the top of the filter and base. I myself don't like using small airline and diffusers so I'm at 50%. I break off one of the three plastic pins at the top to fit a regular air hose. I see no reason to bother with these extra parts. As for the base, I have 3 of these filters and 2 of the plastic feet are broken. The tops don't stay fixed all the time and I find them floating in a tank with just a pillar and stone. Instead of pulling everything out of the tank (which I'm supposed to be doing), I grab the top and push it back against the filter housing. A little pressure can break off part of the base of the foot. Oh, and they make clean flatbreads, but that has more to do with their size than the product. Obviously I'm more than happy with them and if they weren't so expensive I would buy more of them.
