Square inner edges, no outer edges.
Inside edges are perfectly straight, outside edges are not. It's ok for rough work, but when it comes to precision I can only rely on the inside edge. I'm not sure if it changes from square to square. Too bad, Starrett products are usually great. I keep it because I will mainly use the inside edge anyway and the price is good.
