. I bought a set of Calphalon pans for $400.00 thinking the old (1967) Farberware set I had was old fashioned. I really didn't like Calphalon, they burned easily, they were very difficult to clean and they weighed a ton. It took 2 hands to lift them out of the closet. My daughter now has Calphalon and I have AMAZING Farberware cookware. They clean like a dream, never burn, even when making pudding or custard. And I don't need a tap to get them out of the closet. I never had to switch. Obviously a high price does not guarantee good quality as Farberware costs 25% more than a more expensive set.
