Works well when the check engine light comes on. I had a problem with my coolant thermostat and was able to diagnose it before taking it to a mechanic over the internet with the code I was getting and the symptoms I was having. I wanted to see if the new mechanic job would be fair (I just moved to a new state) so I didn't say anything about it except that the check engine light came on.
