I also adjusted the belt tension on my opener because the belt was loose and balanced the spring tension on the garage door springs. Who has ever had problems after replacing the rollers, or at least just checking the tension of the springs by opening the gate semi-disconnected from the operator and making sure it doesn't fall. The spring must support the weight of the door in any position as long as it is not attached to the operator.
