Review on 🔍 Rare Find: Insteon 2242-222 Hub - Limited Edition Collectible! by Matthew Aiono

After reading the many reviews on this hub I have to assume that Insteon have implemented many fixes for the mentioned problems. My installation went exactly as described in the instructions. The iPad app works correctly for everything, schedules, etc. On the plus side I've used X-10 hardware for the past 15 years. He was always so unreliable that if my wife didn't like some of the good things he did, I would remove the whole thing. The Insteon Dual Band wall switches, lamp modules, hub and motion sensors worked flawlessly. I push the mini controller from one end of the house and every time the light comes on the other end. Just like the X-10 should. I can't say enough good things about their hardware. Not so good: Scheduling events by time in the iPad app is extremely clumsy. The X-10 software I used on my Commodore 64 was more advanced. Insteon must bring the app to X-10 at least 15 years ago. It's amazing that the hardware is so superb and the software is in the Stone Age. Despite the weaknesses in the software, the hardware is so good that I give it 4 stars.
