This is a decent mat that's pretty good value for money, and good for general purpose use. The label says it is 45% cotton, 45% polyester, 10% viscose. I am calling it a "mat" because it has no pile, it's just a thick woven textile with hemmed edges! It has a relatively hard and synthetic feel, which makes it more suitable for outdoor use or as a doorway mat; you probably don't want to stand on it with bare feet for long.Haven't tried washing it, but it should hold up well and clean easily with a gentle wash. Spilled water absorbs slowly and beads; I dispute the claim that it is super absorbent. I almost knocked off a star for the inaccurate description, but as long as you know what you're getting, it's a pretty good mat overall.
