I bought two of these multimeters at the end of January to be able to balance the loads on the backup generator for my house (I know simple ammeters would work but the price of these devices couldn't be any cheaper). A big plus was the presence of a split-core current transformer, which could be added after the wiring was completed. I wired them to sense the generator supported load on the subpanel so they've been in steady mode since installation. They were working fine until this week (late October) when one unit started showing high voltage and current readings. I contacted CrocSee (supplier) and to my surprise they honored the one year warranty with no questions asked and sent a new unit straight away. I just finished the install and everything is back to normal. I couldn't be happier with the customer service. I offered to return the defective unit but they wouldn't - probably shouldn't have taken the time to diagnose/fix it. BTW, as part of the troubleshooting I used a fairly accurate handheld multimeter to make sure the voltage readings on the good device were accurate and the current readings were within a few percent; not bad at all for the price!
