Review on 🚴 Puroma Comfort Bike Seat: Dual Spring Suspension, Waterproof Leather Saddle with Memory Foam - Universal Fit for Men and Women, Indoor and Outdoor Biking by David Epps

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for people of average weight who want a soft ride.

I'm a 170 lb man looking for a super comfy, springy bike seat - this is it. I bought a Rad Mini 4 with fat tires and I don't want to buy a seat post with suspension, I want comfort on rough gravel and rocky roads. I drive straight and don't need a racing seat. All the forums pointed out that the Cloud 9 seat was the way to go, so I bought it and sent it back immediately after trying it. The springs were too stiff (people tell you to adjust the springs but then they are still too stiff AND also rattle because the seat doesn't look like the springs need adjusting). Each seat has a coil spring. The side that's perfect for my weight - it's springy without giving out all the time. I already had an elastomeric spring seat - they just don't move enough to absorb the bumps when going over rocks - so I knew I needed a real metal spring. This seat was the same width (8 inches) as the seat that originally came on my bike, is a wider width (I have a folding bike - bigger isn't better). Cloud 9 was also wider and bulkier and didn't suit my height. The center relief is just enough to keep my sensitive area from sore after a 15-mile ride down a rough road. Pros: One spring per side provides good bounce and cushioning for a 170-pound person. The seat cushion is quite soft. medium size - big enough to sit on the seat - small enough not to feel huge. The price was great. Nothing creaked or made noise. - can sag on large bumps. Not suitable for those looking for a stable seat for harder pedaling - the seat moves on springs and wobbles as you shift your weight. (This is actually a pro for me - but wanted to warn people) Materials match the price - but I don't expect this seat to be with me forever. . .
