Review on Mann Filter 28 125 Air Filter by Bob Maldonado

This appears to be the same part as the stock BMW filter but on my car (535i with N55 engine) the stock filter had white pre-filter like material on the top half of the filter which is what it does not have. The white part appears to be above the crankcase ventilation tube. I ended up ripping the white stuff off my old filter, cleaning it as best I could, and then installing it with this new filter. I'm not sure how important the white filter is, but I didn't want to risk it. I'll probably try to get a genuine OEM filter next time.
