Review on 🐶 Evanger's Heritage Classic Dog Food: A Time-Honored Recipe Since 1935! by Yadira Santiago

My 1.5 year old golden retriever loves Evanger canned food including this variety. Like the taste of cooked chicken (his favorite) and unlike most canned dog foods, it's bland in the jar. This aroma has a strong odor when you open the jar, and not surprisingly, dog poo gets quite smelly after drinking this aroma. The taste of cooked chicken does not have these characteristics. Evanger's appears to have a five-star rating (out of a possible five-star rating) for the health of its ingredients by the internet's independent evaluator, Dog Food Advisor. Another company with a five star rating is Holistic Select, which was my dog's exclusive diet (mixed canned and dry food) until I saw Evanger's review with a dog food consultant. Since Evanger costs about 2/3 the cost of Holistic Select, I started rotating brands in his diet. I haven't fully switched to Evanger yet because Holistic Select seemed to give it a nice shiny coat and because the softness of the Evanger brand doesn't suit me yet.
