I will admit, I did not read the entire description on this light set. This set looks great, and I got the achieved look I was going for (a "stream" effect in my Christmas display). But this set has 2 disappointments1. the set defaults to the "demo" mode when unplugged and plugged back in. You have to manually cycle thru and choose, each time, the mode you want once they are turned on. Therefore you cannot use these on an outdoor timer that shuts power down to a group of lights2. the set does not have an internal timer (i.e.: 6 hours ON, 18hours OFF).If it even had the latter, I could work with it by having a 2nd power source to it that was always on, and still feel like this is a bargain price product. What I have to do is leave the lights on 24hrs a day so that I do not have to mess with it.I will replace next year with a more feature inclusive set. But for this year, they are doing the job
