Review on πŸ’« Elizabeth Mott Contour and Highlighting Palette by Nancy Knudsen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good palette, colors suit lighter skin tones

I use makeup, but contouring is relatively new to me and I haven't mastered it yet. I've tried a few different brands and also currently have a more expensive set that I find a little less useful than this one. The colors in this palette are not very dark and go well with my very fair skin. better than the expensive ones above. The colors also last quite a long time but fade during the work day and need to be reapplied when I want to go outside right after work. This is not unexpected and is not a crucial factor as most makeup really needs a touch up. The powders themselves do not have a strange smell, they fall evenly on the contour brush and are applied smoothly. There is a pink light color, a banana yellow light color and a more neutral highlighter. The outlines are reddish brown and the other two are neutral brown, one darker than the other. I also use it as a powder eyeliner when I want to create a subtle look. They are not super pigmented. Overall I really like this set. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is personal preference; I find it very difficult to apply powder correctly and evenly, probably because I'm new to this whole contouring routine. Cream-based highlighters and contouring nuances are much easier for me to apply and gently blend. Beautiful palette and glad to have it in my makeup bag.
