I bought this specifically to have a pointer that works on the LCD monitor. Some reviewers noted that the pointer works but is a little darker on the screen. I found it worked very well right in front of the screen. When using the pointer from +/- about 15 degrees to the side, the pointer quickly loses visibility and is completely lost 30 degrees from the straight line. Even if the pointer is projected straight ahead, people sitting at a 30 degree angle to the edge of the screen will not be able to see the pointer. The range of possibilities this brings makes it unsuitable for use with monitors other than those used in a very small space in close proximity to the screen. The rest of the features are great, but don't buy this product to use a pointer to draw attention to the LDC monitor.
