Review on ๐Ÿงถ Enhanced Searchability: Tunisian Crochet Hook Set by Knitter's Pride Ginger by Michelle Langley

I LOVE this set.

I am new to tunisian crochet and decided to learn it after I found a lovely tunisian crochet sweater pattern. I already had a long aluminum hook, but it wasn't long enough. After reviewing and discussing the Knitter's Pride (KP) Ginger set with the KP Bamboo set, KP Symfonie Dreamz set and Addi's Tunisian set, I settled on them based on the range of hook sizes and price the ginger set. I got this for $84 but it falters at Revain. The hooks are incredibly fluid and the transition from hook to connector is seamless. The tip of the hook is a little longer than I'm used to. It was annoying at first, but I realized that Tunisian crochet in general requires some training in traditional crochet. Since then I've gotten better at crocheting and I love it. My rows worked quickly once I got used to the hook. It is very smooth and sticking occurs, but VERY rarely. This can be traced back to the life of crocheting in general, or to the yarn. The color of the wood decor perfectly matches the connectors; which turn a translucent reddish-brown when held up to the light. Really thoughtful design that makes the set beautiful. I'm guessing they contained larger hooks, which I understand are more common in Tunisian crochet projects. The case also doubles as a template holder, which is nice, but I haven't used it yet. I had to sew the elastic tighter for the three smallest hooks as they kept slipping out, but it was a quick fix and still good coverage overall. The included pen has a pleasant weight. Doesn't feel cheap at all. The pen writes blue when it breaks or creates a deal. This set also includes a lot of accessories that other sets might not include like connectors, locking keys and some weird stitch markers (which I can't figure out but ok). This makes it very valuable as it really does contain everything you need to get started and then some. The sweater may be unnecessary, but not this set. I look forward to new Tunisian crochet projects! I highly recommend this set. It's just so beautiful and well made.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Crochet heads are too long making crocheting a chore.
