I used to hate coffee, I've changed.

Okay, let's finish with a little background. I am 32 years old and have hated coffee all my life. Obviously, I've always had bad coffee, and the only form of brewing I've ever known is drip can and kurig. I was in Italy on a recent business trip (awful I know) and thought hey, let's try some coffee. Why? I'm open, especially when it comes to food and drink. So let's give coffee another chance. I spent about a week surveying coffee drinkers at work about brewing, types of beans, etc. I decided to walk the path of the poor and since I don't see myself drinking more than 1 cup in the morning I ended up with it. When I commit, I commit. So, I have a gooseneck kettle, manual bean grinder, semicircular chemical filters. Everything I needed to learn how to cook something good. This is where I was worried this was going to be challenging, that it was going to suck, and I invested in something I can't replicate. IT IS SO EASY! Time consuming as you really have to spend some time instead of filtering, grinding, pressing a button, walking away and back to the resin. As far as Chemex itself goes, it's easy to clean. A quick rinse afterwards helps a lot. , takes up no storage space and will be very durable as far as I can tell. Follow elementary physics and don't pour cold water on it after hot water was in it. As far as I can tell it brews 1 cup of coffee, not 3. Or I just drink a large cup. So if you plan to brew beer for two, increase the size. If you are traveling alone this is ideal.
