Review on Enhance Your WiFi Range with TP-Link TL-WPA4220KIT 300Mbps AV500 Powerline WiFi Extender Start Kit by Mateusz Odachowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend.

I had to get a new Netis PL7622 kit because the last one broke after only six months of use because it overheated from being used 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each Qualcomm-Atheros chip is used in the construction of the Powerlink component. The speed for 220V was approximately 200 megabits per second in one direction from the various rooms in the 60 square meter residence. Less than five hundred wooden ones are needed to purchase a single Netis, and they may function not just as an access point but also as a router with support for WISP, IPoE, PPPoE, PPTP, L2TP, and multicast. (The router is built on a Realtek chip). All of this functionality was tucked away in a small box, which quickly became quite hot and tormented it in a mean-spirited way. The TP-Link enclosure is more substantial and features an increased number of ventilation openings. Should put in more effort. If all you need to do is extend WiFi over 220V, then this is an excellent choice.

Pros
  • +) Powerful Wi-Fi transmitter. Even with the power reduced to its bare minimum, it can open the door to the room next door. + Quick and simple setup.
Cons
  • - There is no option to turn DHCP on or off separately. If it is enabled, and it discovers that there is already another DHCP on the network, it will turn down its own service. However, in the event that it starts before the primary router that uses DHCP, it will cause a conflict with the latter. The cost is rather exorbitant for the amount of functionality that is provided. In point of fact, it is completely incapable of doing anything other than transmitting packets across a 220V network and a WiFi access point.
