Review on 💻 StarTech.com Low Profile PCIe RS232 Serial Card with UART 16550 - 2 Port Native PCI Express Serial Card - PEX2S553LP by Kevin Hutchison

I bought this card for use with a new computer with Windows 7 64-bit port after a while. After reinstalling the drivers everything was ok for a while, then the connection disappeared again. This happened with two different software packages, so I think the software is fine. To be fair - StarTech Tech Support was pretty responsive, but they thought the problem was me - maybe with their driver or Windows 7 x64. They say they have no problem with the driver in their lab, so maybe it's a windows problem. The product quality is good and they were delivered quickly; but if anyone is planning to use this with Win 7 x64 be sure to test everything to make sure it works properly before Revain's return period expires.
