I like this shoe for its looks and also for the brand. I usually wear cheaper shoes, but boulder loafers are very cheap for an Allen Edmonds product. As is often the case with blind buying shoes, I encountered some fit issues. The size fits my feet and is generally comfortable, but the last one I used was too full for my heel area. I felt some slipping but my heel would not come off the shoe while walking. If there was more space I would have to send them back. I emailed Allen Edmonds and the customer service rep was quick to respond. She suggested I go a half size but I felt it was too small. An online woman who appeared to be a shoe saleswoman posted a suggestion to place a mid-length outsole insert in the front of the shoe to push the foot back into the heel area. This trick worked great and now my purchase fits me perfectly. Some adjustments were necessary for me, but that was no surprise given the internet purchase. Next time I'll probably stop by the store for a proper fitting.
