Review on 🚚 Curt 13043 Class 3 Trailer Hitch: Perfect Fit for Select Lexus GX460 with 2-Inch Receiver by Chris Owens

I've been eyeing these for my gx SUV for a long time. My 2015 GX came with a tow package. I removed the factory hitch to see if I could fit my 33" ko2 under it. No, maybe with some trimming. But I could use this place for some towed water carriers/tankers. My tire has been sitting perfectly at the back so far. But maybe one day I need to free up some space and thought of towbar holders as a spare part. So I need a lead. I don't want to put on a factory clutch just to take a spare with me from time to time. So I started trimming my factory clutch down to just 4 bolts. Or order one of these. The plant is definitely much stronger than metal. But this one is still worth £5,000. Way more than I'll ever draw with my GX. Also a factor in my situation is that my springs and geometry are out of stock. So a Class 4 towbar is factory rated for 6500 lbs. maybe not true anymore. So in general this cut in 5k is still too much. I will find it easy to put on and take off when needed. 4 bolts, percussion pistol, crowbar and a blue padlock. When I opened the package I was surprised by several things. Which I ordered second hand because it's a piece of steel that doesn't get damaged easily. But the screws and instructions are clearly not the same. But it might be added by those who have ever bought before. What surprised me the most was curt's spacer plate. I've read so many reviews about it as each one bangs "oh what a precious Lexus plastic" and send them back or add shims. So I wasn't expecting the record. As you can see from the photo, the factory clutch has two plates. So plan accordingly. I bet you could pick up Bell Lexus parts plates for very cheap. Plus, this piece of plastic is removable! You can see the pattern with my thumb, this is where the bottom plastic goes and can be removed very easily. Or you can cut off the bottom plastic piece. Other details show how much less it protrudes than the factory-approved trailer hitch. But the vertical chain hooks on a short connector deprive horizontal reinforcement since the chain's factory holes are shallow. I don't know the thread and size of the screw. But I need to trim mine as I will be installing without plates. What you see in the picture with the shaft attached is not the plates but the support bracket/frame that the nuts are welded to. Obviously I'm not worried about cutting plastic on my rig. But I understand if you. We bought them all because they are luxurious, reliable and productive machines.
