I have used Cascade for many years and have never had a problem with white residue on dishes washed. I've used this version three times to make sure it's not an isolated case. Every three times some things came out with this white coating and they had to be hand washed. The third time I added some rinse aid and it helped but still not very well. I like to be proactive about the environment, but this is where I might go back to my usual Cascade.
