They are small and work well (fast+slow charge, data transfer works well) but one of them started smoking and caught fire while charging my phone at the airport a few months ago. I immediately unplugged the cable, but the adapter melted into the charging port. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the adapter was _very slightly_ bent, causing an internal short. I managed to get the remains of the adapter out the next day and the phone miraculously still works, but... in general I would advise you to check your adapters for damage and discard them immediately if they have any visible kinks or show signs of wear. Obviously there is a risk of fire and risk of damaging your equipment.
