I love champagne cocktails from time to time, but mixing them at home isn't practical unless you're sharing champagne or prosecco with a crowd. Bubbles don't hold up well and I'm definitely not going to drink the whole bottle in one night. I've used one of these vacuum sealers to keep my red wine for a few days, but it didn't work with champagne. I was excited to try this champagne bottle sealer. I don't know how it works, but it works. This plug does not need to be inflated at all. Just push and twist a little. When you're ready to drink the rest of your champagne, the cork is easily removed and you'll hear that lovely popping sound you heard when you first opened the bottle again. should work. Day 1 was when I opened the bottle. On the second day there were still plenty of bubbles in the champagne. On day 3 the bubbles were a little less enthusiastic but there was still enough fizz to make the champagne drinkable. By day 4 the champagne wasn't quite flat but the effects were definitely wearing off. So I would say that this sealant/cork gives your champagne two extra days of life, which is a very good thing!
