For a relatively cheap price I would say this is a good deal. I have two old monitors with only one HDMI or DVI and VGA connection. So instead of buying a new monitor, I was able to use the old 17 for the Raspberry Pi project, it worked perfectly, and for the dual monitor of the new machine, which was also connected to another old PC, I extended the connection to both. I'm seeing some interference with my old 17" AOC, but it could also be coming from PI. I still think it's a solid product for the price, especially compared to the cost of replacing new monitors. I wouldn't use it for more. as a desktop extension. I also tried this converter with my pandoras box 5 arcade console with vga cable, it worked fine. So it worked with HDMI/VGA with Raspberry Pi, PC and Pandora's Box arcade console.
