Not suitable for the work you are trying to sell

I really wanted to like them. They looked very cool when I bought them but they are pretty mediocre. I work in watercolor and sell my paintings and I thought they would be a great addition to my work, apart from painting. I think if you want to experiment with water soluble pigments that's fine, but I don't really like using them because their finish is terrible. It dissolves in water, but when mixed it leaves streaks of the original paint strokes in a way it doesn't. look really good. Like pastels, they were very chalky and didn't mix very well. My favorite was using them to paint directly on wet paper using the wet-on-wet technique, and while they looked nice while the paint was still wet, when they dried they had a dull, almost white hue. She. Reminds me of art supplies from elementary school. TLDR: Suitable for people who want to experiment with water-based pastels/pigments. Not for professional use IMO.

Pros
  • Excellent color and pastel work, all pastel techniques are applicable including shading, gradation, dry fill
Cons
  • Not bad but...
