I have a 2010 motor home with an Onan 5500 generator. Although I have changed the oil and filter I have never changed the fuel pump, didn't think I needed it . Glad I did. The old original was rusty and corroded, making it difficult to remove. It would probably fail. Once the old one broke and I replaced the cable as everything was rusted the new one went straight in and was easy to install. Works perfectly.
