We've had these for about 6 months and use them every day - the batteries are dead. not exhausted yet .The capacity of the pepper container is a bit small as others have commented but you don't need to refill it every day It feels quite durable and of good quality The black plastic is more of a matte black - and shows grease and fingerprints easily - that's the only thing I don't like about it. It would probably be better with white or a lighter color. Other than that, it works fine. I'm not sure if it's worth the price, but at least it's not made in China (it is made in France).
