I have an '88 VW Vanagon and bought this muffler.

I have an '88 VW Transporter, I bought this muffler and the new one was about 3 inches longer than my old one, 1/2 to 3/4 inches less and was very difficult to install. The stock 2 brackets were too big so I had to make shims to fit tight, had to bend the bottom filler plate to clear the exhaust pipe. was a real agony, the only thing that was right was 2 flanges.
