Finally! Something high-tech that practically installs itself. No stress. No user-hostile experience. Why did I buy this? I've had two LinkSys routers at home for three years and I'm finally bored of them! With every network failure I had to restart LinkSys routers and sometimes reinstall configuration software. I tried another router with the same negative user experience. I bought this product - Netgear FR114P - based on reviews. I wanted "plug and play" or as close as possible. I didn't want the hassle of installing software that ended up struggling with me. Yes, I can read and follow instructions. But for Pete, 35 years ago, people played golf on the moon. Why can't they invent a router that works out of the box? I connected the router to my network and all my home PCs were connected to the network in just a few minutes. It comes with the software but is not required for basic functionality. For the money it was a good deal given the installation issues.
