Review on ALINX Zynq 7000 Artix 7 Development Zedboard by Kaylon Mackey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good performance board, minimal documentation

I chose this board along with two other boards just like this one for a hardware development project. I've barely used any of the three over the past few months due to the complexity of the boards and very little documentation. After several attempts to email the company for information on boards or ways to create boards through collaboration; I didn't get anything back so I put the cards/boards aside for future use. I understand that there is a lack of manufacturers at the moment and the company may not be interested in doing anything special, but it would be nice to have complete and correct documentation for those of us who are not indefinite electrical engineers/scientists . he doesn't seem to want to work with anyone; Many of the FPGA programs on GitHub typically do not work on these boards/cards. If anything changes in the future I'll update this review, but other than that I wouldn't recommend it to anyone except the most die-hard engineer/scientist who wants to figure things out for themselves.

Pros
  • Designed and manufactured by ALINX, a member of XILINX alliance in China. Send the schematic, PDF user manual, Verilog HDL demos and experiment guide saved in Dropbox.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
