This shampoo has a nice, pleasant lightly sweet and somewhat fruity fragrance and lathers easily, even in my hard water. It rinses easily from the hair and does not leave a buildup. I had some waxy build up happening from other shampoos that left a heavy, sticky film along the roots and crown of my head that made my hair look oily, dirty, and unmanageable. I noticed that film went away after using this shampp - noticeable difference after first wash and most gone after second wash and now no more reside. I have not noticed any extra moisturizing, but my hair does feel clean and not overdried using this shampoo daily (I will likely stop using it so frequently and mix into a rotation). It is vegan, sulfate free, gluten free, cruelty free, paraben free, and color safe.Although it doesn't take a lot to make a nice lather in my thick, below-shoulder-length hair, this bottle is a small 12 oz bottle for the current $18 price. This might be comparable to higher end shampoo sold in salons and hair care boutiques. This shampoo would probably be best used as part of a rotation routine with other shampoos and extend the life of the bottle.
