This fan must be withdrawn from sale. I installed this fan (properly). The jar lid is threaded and you will be asked to twist the jar (like a jar lid) to install it. But in fact, the fan community does not have a single topic! So the glass sits in a tiny lip. The hunter is really angry. So, like the other reviewer, I installed this fan for maybe 2 weeks and BOOM! The glass fell on my expensive coffee table (thanks Hunter) and shattered into a million pieces. The chains are flimsy, as someone else mentioned, and the fan wobbles when you pull it, making it literally impossible to avoid the fact that you'll lose the glass within the first month of use. If you go to the Hunter website and are looking for a replacement glass for this fan, there is a Longggg thread with comments on this issue AND the glass is out of stock until DEC 2018. So to recap I've had this fan for 2 weeks and now I have to wait 6 months to get a replacement glass which *probably falls out and breaks immediately. This fan should be taken off the market and I'm really shocked it's even being sold considering how easy it would be for the buyers, their children. and their pets will suffer.
