Works great with my 2012 GMC Acadia wa 2 inch clutch. My Bauer bike rack is 1 1/4" so I had a lot of play. Without that stabilizer, the entire stance would sway a few inches from side to side when I was making turns. I suppose the cars behind me will worry about the whole carrier (with the bike) falling off and hitting them on the windshield. This stabilizer illuminates up, down, and side to side movements. This definitely gives me security when I ride with the bike carrier mounted.
