I don't know how many times you would need to spray this product on furniture and carpeting to discourage your pup from chewing and/or urinating area what whatever it was originally. lick it and then move on and/or find another spot that doesn't have as much so it seemed like all I did during the day everyday was spray it all around. Because of all the spraying, my husband and I felt like we were going to try that, then when we tried to get him off the furniture to bite we were obviously touching the areas that were sprayed and felt like kids around when we can try, our children, who touch everything, certainly can and then also risk putting it in their mouths so that it simply becomes useless. Trying to stop him from biting the furniture by putting the toy to his mouth also squirts a little on the toy which is useless since we are also touching the toy. When urinating I have to spray the whole carpet because it just finds another place.
