Unsafe scrap. I think the cable routing might be too narrow for the width of the winch. On the very first attempt to coil the cable, the cable slipped off the end of the (too narrow) cable guide and got caught at the other end. In this case, the winch is completely useless - the cable does not roll in or out. Don't be the last person in the parking lot when carrying a winch. I had to disassemble it completely to get the cable out. The photo shows two bends in the cable. I no longer use this cable. Or a winch. Another nitpick: The screws holding the remote jack have fallen apart. It's not dangerous, just annoying. I was willing to put up with it (see second photo showing superglue instead of superglue).
