There was an old hammer in the garage that weighed 2.5 pounds. I finally felt the need to use it, so I decided to replace the grip rather than buy a new one. The local warehouse didn't have one so I decided to take a look at Revane and saw this one. The handle was too wide for the hole in the hammer head, but it was easy to scrape off a few layers to get it right. The head is set and the hammer is used regularly, the handle seems to be handling the load well. Overall, I'm glad I decided to revive the hammer rather than replace it, and this grip helped with that.
