We do very odd woodwork and art projects and thought this might be useful. When he first showed up he was fun to play with and seemed like he was doing a great job. However, when we tried to use it for a sculpting project, we quickly ran into problems. Once you get your "shape" you can't fix it in that position. So if you press too hard, hit something, etc., it will ruin everything. We tried using it to confirm both sides matched and that wasn't possible because the pins just shifted trying to align it. ADVANTAGES: - Affordable - Lightweight - Many uses DISADVANTAGES: - Does not block so accuracy cannot be guaranteed - Does not work for very small parts. I think if you just want to do projects like flooring, baseboards etc then this would be a very useful tool as you can see from the pictures. If you need a more versatile application or finer details, this is not the best option.
