Having this or a similar product for your iMac is almost a must. Maybe it was easier for Apple to figure out a way to fit multiple USB ports into the base of an iMac or something. Everything about this device works fine, maybe a little tricky to connect it to iMac, but everything went fine. Due to the lack of weight or even any sort of traction at the bottom of the iMac base, you still have to grab the monitor before plugging/unplugging or it will spin. Again, this is more of an Apple issue than the people who made this device. It's just nice to be able to plug something in now with little effort, so it's worth it. I don't care if I buy this device, but it's not the device's fault.
