Works well and looks great!

It was a bit awkward to connect to my iMac at first so I actually laid the iMac face down on my desk to get a better view of where I was working which really helped secure hub. Once plugged in, it looks really nice and blends in with the rest of the computer. I like that there is one less thing on the table under the monitor. It hasn't dropped or come loose on its own, and while I'm probably a little more careful unplugging the cables, it doesn't feel fragile or anything. It has enough power to

Looks good and fits well, but.

I give this product 4 stars for one reason: I can't connect a third device to it through a second device; I need to connect directly to the hub. Whenever I try the first one, I get the message "USB accessory needs power". I will explain. I have a wired keyboard that itself has 2 USB ports. It is now connected to a 3-port USB hub. When I connect my phone or memory card to the keyboard, I get the above message. I need to connect directly to a hub, rendering my keyboard's USB ports unusable. I had

Simply a great hub at an affordable price!

It just works! I was a bit concerned that the screws in the picture are actually pushing or just pulling into the iMac case, but that's not the case (pun intended) and instead they appear to "tilt" their fingers to secure it to the case becomes. Internals of the system, ensuring a very reliable connection. I was also concerned that the transfer speed wouldn't be "real" USB 3.0, but I can confirm that it hits 200+ MB/s on my Sandisk Extreme. The color matches the case convincingly as it's…

Useful for 2017 iMac

I used this on my 2017 27" iMac to move the SD card slot and USB slots to the front. It gave me more connectivity. Pro:1. I can Plug in SD cards and flash drives without moving the display 2. My Dymo Labeler can be installed next to USB sticks Cons: 1. Sometimes the connection between the audio jacks it plugs into becomes loose and I have to tighten them again to tighten the connection.2.Sometimes backup USB sticks fall off the bus, my guess is that there isn't enough power to operate more than

$2500 System Upgrade Highly Recommended

Having this or a similar product for your iMac is almost a must. Maybe it was easier for Apple to figure out a way to fit multiple USB ports into the base of an iMac or something. Everything about this device works fine, maybe a little tricky to connect it to iMac, but everything went fine. Due to the lack of weight or even any sort of traction at the bottom of the iMac base, you still have to grab the monitor before plugging/unplugging or it will spin. Again, this is more of an Apple issue…

  • Easy to Use
Cons

Strong four hub attachment - works well with mains plug

Just received and installed this little unit. You'll need to lift the bottom of the iMac screen up a bit and wiggle the tabs. Once inside, I twisted the pliers a bit to tighten the small screw heads. But now it's reliable and looks like I could even plug and unplug it with a little pleasure. This 4 hub will work. I have a power plug so everything gets enough juice. I connected my iPhone and loading a dozen pictures was quick. I recommend it. Works well once I knew what holes it wanted to be…
