Having this or a similar product for your iMac is almost a must. Maybe it was easier for Apple to figure out a way to fit multiple USB ports into the base of an iMac or something. Everything about this device works fine, maybe a little tricky to connect it to iMac, but everything went fine. Just received and installed this little unit. You'll need to lift the bottom of the iMac screen up a bit and wiggle the tabs. Once inside, I twisted the pliers a bit to tighten the small screw heads. But now it's reliable and looks like I could even plug and unplug it with a little pleasure. This 4 hub will work. I have a power plug so everything gets enough juice.
