Review on Cateck Ultra Thin Aluminum Exclusively Designed by Jay Meza

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simply a great hub at an affordable price!

It just works! I was a bit concerned that the screws in the picture are actually pushing or just pulling into the iMac case, but that's not the case (pun intended) and instead they appear to "tilt" their fingers to secure it to the case becomes. Internals of the system, ensuring a very reliable connection. I was also concerned that the transfer speed wouldn't be "real" USB 3.0, but I can confirm that it hits 200+ MB/s on my Sandisk Extreme. The color matches the case convincingly as it's plastic, the texture is slightly different and that's really the only "complaint" I have about this hub. I would pay more for a metal case, but that's a very minor issue as it's otherwise well made. Nor a request? Smaller cable. It's about 2 feet long, I suppose if you want to place it entirely on the left side of your Mac it might make sense, but I suspect 90 percent of people place it on the right side, so a smaller cable from meaning would be. was more careful. I don't usually give 5 star reviews, I think 5/5 should really exceed expectations, but I can also say that Cateck definitely exceeded my expectations here for $15. It might not be as clean as the Sabrent, but it's more versatile, cheaper, attaches more securely, and can reach USB 3.0 speeds.
