Just received and installed this little unit. You'll need to lift the bottom of the iMac screen up a bit and wiggle the tabs. Once inside, I twisted the pliers a bit to tighten the small screw heads. But now it's reliable and looks like I could even plug and unplug it with a little pleasure. This 4 hub will work. I have a power plug so everything gets enough juice. I connected my iPhone and loading a dozen pictures was quick. I recommend it. Works well once I knew what holes it wanted to be stabilized on. I wish I had another one with an SD card slot so I didn't have to go to the back of my iMac anymore - what a silly design that was! If you have the opportunity, make a hole for an SD card with 3 USB ports. Oh I bought 2 kits so both iMacs come with this front loader.
