I used this on my 2017 27" iMac to move the SD card slot and USB slots to the front. It gave me more connectivity. Pro:1. I can Plug in SD cards and flash drives without moving the display 2. My Dymo Labeler can be installed next to USB sticks Cons: 1. Sometimes the connection between the audio jacks it plugs into becomes loose and I have to tighten them again to tighten the connection.2.Sometimes backup USB sticks fall off the bus, my guess is that there isn't enough power to operate more than one device at a time if that requires more power.
