I don't know why it took me so long to buy one like this! It works really great and now I don't have to constantly fight with the cable. The nearest accessory outlet on my 2015 Ford Edge SEL is on the passenger side, and my wife often covers the cord with her purse. Not to mention that it's quite difficult to place a radar detector on the windshield. The mount is very good quality, looks good and seems adjustable enough to suit almost any application. My mount is installed as shown in the photo. The mirror wire tap also works very well. The wires go straight into the harness and are tight enough that they're unlikely to come out on their own. Likewise, I used the included zip ties to prevent slipping out and tidy up the install. My auto dimming mirror has a cord that turns on and off with the car. So as long as I leave the radar detector in the mount, I don't have to worry about the power supply. The only negative I see so far is that removing the radar detector from the mount is a bit difficult, but not so difficult that it stops me from loving this product. Definitely recommended!
