Good. Where do I start, it does what it's supposed to. melting solder. It wasn't to be left alone though, mine was smoking and essentially sitting there the entire time I adjusted the part. After fully disassembled, it uses 20 AWG wire, no fuse, no on indicator, and no thermistor for temperature control. The wires lead to the heating element without any repercussions. Only the left one will heat up until something catches fire. Forget it. As soon as the tip of the iron touches it, the wire's insulation is immediately compressed. What struck me was how hot the cigarette lighter got in less than 10 minutes. Mine can no longer be returned as I put it in a thermostat unit which shuts off the power when it reaches a certain temperature.
