Good automotive electronics portable soldering iron

This is pretty much a standard item for those who need to solder with regular AC power. I used it to solder wires for a new car radio and speakers. Instead of pulling an extension cord from home or bringing things in, I used a car starter with a 12v input and this thing didn't disappoint. Just enough power to get the job done and with good solder and some flux I had the cleanest solder joints.

Big little soldering iron

This little soldering iron is just perfect for me. It's hot enough to solder in about a minute, which is a lot faster than my old one. I use it for soldering 18 gauge wire for the most part and it's perfect. It can solder wire up to 16 gauge. Any more than that and it doesn't work very well, which is what's expected of a 30-watt iron. The quality and fast heat-up time at this price makes it the best soldering iron you will ever use. Works with limitations

Good. Where do I start, it does what it's supposed to. melting solder. It wasn't to be left alone though, mine was smoking and essentially sitting there the entire time I adjusted the part. After fully disassembled, it uses 20 AWG wire, no fuse, no on indicator, and no thermistor for temperature control. The wires lead to the heating element without any repercussions.
